Our cats caught a mouse in the house this morning, and (as cats will do) they made a toy of it until it stopped being, well, interactive anymore. Then Yoda brought it to Jon with the most hopeful look, as if he thought that maybe all-powerful Daddy would turn it back ON for them.

This made me smile 😀. We got a small mole at 1 a.m. Still fully ‘interactive’, fortunately, and easier to catch than a frisky mouse, so successfully released back into the wild. Looking forward to tonight’s offering…

CATCHING the mouse isn’t a problem. PEOPLE catching the mouse is trickier. Better wear protective-wear if you dare your fingers near the melee-slash-soccer-game that is our four cats with a mouse! ;)

And this is one reason why I cannot be a cat person anymore. LOL! We had two cats when I was growing up. They’re GREAT to have around for this very purpose, but nope. LOL!

At least this time Yoda didn’t lay the mouse’s head on Jon’s bare chest in the middle of the night… “Look, Daddy, I brought you the best part!” ;)

Our cat does this as well. No matter how many times I tell him we can’t plug them back in.

I love cats and have had a couple but this is the one trait about them I really don’t like. Why on earth can’t they just catch and kill and eat like anything else does. It’s definitely not a ‘nature’ thing as, in the wild, they wouldn’t dare let their dinner go! We had one of ours trained to drop whatever it was when we shouted out of the window at her…

I’m impressed with anyone who can train a CAT to do ANYthing!!

I think she just got fed up of us yelling out of the window and she knew that, if she didn’t drop and leave, we’d come out, catch her and prise it off her!

I’m still impressed. ;)
