A Legacy of Owl-Interment?

Maybe someone can explain this to me. I like statistics, but this one has me baffled.

Nearly every single day, for thirteen years, someone has readHow to Bury an Owl.” Even when my blogging was entirely dormant, this post kept racking up statistics. Last year it was read 347 times. .

Altogether it has been viewed 2.1 thousand times.

When you Google “how to bury an owl,” my post is the top result after the AI overview.

(I especially like the AI summary of the post: “It is illegal to bury an owl in the U.S. The author buried three owls in her garden with a Spam sandwich and a soda.” Ha, I did. There was a reason for that.)

Are that many people in need of owl-interring directions? Is this what I’ll be remembered for, after I’m interred myself? And while we’re asking questions… What’s the statute of limitations for burying owls?
